Ritmo Flamenco opens DanceWeekend17 with the premiere of a new work on Friday, January 20 at 7:00 pm at the Fleck Dance Theatre, 207 Queens Way West, Harbourfront Centre. “Award-winning choreographer/dancer Anjelica Scannura draws inspiration from revolutionary female flamenco dancers in her new work “Mujere Salvaje” (Wild Woman). With an arsenal of emotion at her disposal, she creates with reckless abandon the rhythm, sensuality and drama necessary to tap into the animalistic instincts that comprise the true soul of flamenco.
