BEGINNER FLAMENCO January 8 – February 20. (no class Family Day)
Registration: $115 for 7 wks
All the basics of flamenco will be covered with emphasis on learning correct posture and how to do footwork and arm work pertaining to flamenco while learning a lively choreography! Students can wear any comfortable workout clothes and shoes with a bit of heel that fit securely on the foot like character shoes or enclosed dress shoes with low heels. No running shoes or sandals. We can eventually order specialty flamenco shoes for students who wish to continue in flamenco. Give us a call or email us to inquire further about shoes. Class size is under 10 people per class!! Advanced registration required.

INTERMEDIATE FLAMENCO January 8 – March 26 (no class Family Day)
Registration: $180 for 11 wks
This level is for students who have at least 1 yr. of training or who have completed Beginner Levels. More emphasis will be placed on all areas of technique like footwork, posture, arms and rhythms and you will be working with flamenco guitar to improve palmas and rhythms related to the Bulerias.

CASTANET/SEVILLANAS January 8 – March 26
Registration: $180 for 11 wks
This class is for new students and/or experienced students interested in learning the castanets. Castanets are a percussive instrument and are an essential instrument for Classical Spanish Dance. This class improves students immensely in terms of the work that is done on positioning, coordination and balance as well as vueltas turns. The Sevillanas is one of Spain’s most popular dances and the class is a combination of learning this choreography and adding castanets.

FLAMENCO DRILL AND TECHNIQUE CLASS – MIXED LEVEL Jan 9 – March 27
Registration: $190 for 12 wks
The Drill class combines all components needed to strengthen areas of technique that is required in flamenco. This course will improve any dancer and is highly recommended to be combined with any other class in the schedule. Mixed level means suitable for all students who want to see results with their execution of footwork.

INTERMEDIATE 2 FLAMENCO Jan 9 – March 27
Registration: $190 for 12 wks
The class is working on Bulerias and will continue to incorporate more complex use of all areas of technique and style relating to the choreography. Minimum 2-4 yrs of training.

Intermediate Classical/Castanet Jan 9 – March 27
Registration: $175 for 12 wks
This beautiful choreography is inspired by the opera “Carmen” and the choreography is set to the Habanera. Minimum 2-4 yrs of training and experience playing the castanets is required.

ADVANCED/PROFESSIONAL FLAMENCO WITH ANJELICA SCANNURA
This class is for the advanced dancer who has completed all areas of technique and may also be professional. The Solea is cante jondo is extremely nuanced and technical contains dynamic range of both technique and expression.

This course is for students who have under 6 months of training but have some knowledge of basic technique. This is a continuation of the fall term.
