Last week’s classes were so much fun that I am doing another round of classes this week.  Wednesday, August 5 will be an Intermediate level class exploring Bulerias marking and llamadas.  Thursday, August 6 will be a Beginner Flamenco class that will include basic technique, arms hands legwork for Tangos flamenco.   These classes will be on Zoom and everyone – even lapsed students or those living out of town are welcome to sign up!
I have been working my way up to teaching online and it has taken me some time to gather my resources and learn how to work and teach in this online forum. I learned a lot from last week’s classes and hope to improve more each time.  Right now, it is best to do these classes in either bare feet or if you are wearing flamenco shoes, that is fine as you will be muted  but bear in mind that I will be dancing in bare feet.  This is because sound quality was an issue last week.  Until I set up the ultimate sound situation, it is best for me to present the drills and choreography this way.
THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE AS I GAIN PROFICIENCY IN TEACHING ONLINE!
Dancing flamenco in barefoot is making a resurgence by many renowned present day flamenco dancers.  Ultimately, it will strengthen your feet and allow you to free up your ability to make the legs and feet work properly.   When we put our shoes back on, you will see a difference in your sound quality and spend less time being preoccupied with footwork and allow yourself to enjoy the flow and movement of the entire body as you dance flamenco.
